NRA Pistol Instructor Certification Course

The nation has seen its largest rush of new gun owners in its history, all looking for a qualified instructor to teach them how to accurately shoot a firearm while being safe on the range. At the same time, starting a part-time firearms instruction business can earn you more than $100 per hour teaching the NYS CCW Course!

The time is now to become a certified instructor!

Becoming an NRA-certified instructor legally entitles you to teach the New York State Mandatory 18-hour concealed carry course.

In this course, you’ll learn:

  • How to organize a student course
  • How to obtain students
  • How to coach a new shooter
  • And more!

NYS pistol permit required.

This course requires two prerequisites AND THE ABILITY TO PRODUCE A TWENTY-SHOT 6″ GROUP FROM 15 YARDS:

  1. Successful completion of the student-level NRA Basic Pistol Course no longer than two years prior to the class date (this can be with RFI or another entity).
  2. Successful completion of the NRA BIT (Basic Instructor Training) Course no longer than two years prior to the class date (this can be with RFI or another entity).

Upon successful completion of this course, students will be certified NRA Instructors and able to teach NRA Basic Pistol, the NYS CCW course and more.
