The solution to all three of these problems is handloading, or as it’s more commonly know, reloading.
For those shooters who want to reload for accuracy making the decision is as simple as talking to any serious match competitor. Ammo off the shelves is made to produce acceptable accuracy for a variety of firearms, even match grade factory ammunition. Think of it as a suit off a rack, fits most people well, and a designer suit looks exceptionally well, but put that suit up against a tailor made suit made specifically for you, and there’s absolutely no comparison.
By having the options of different powders, bullet weight, seating depth and charge weight one can create a custom round, producing accuracy you can’t get “off the shelf”. And if you’re planning on competing, it’s a necessity. An average match grade .308 Winchester bullet can be made for around 45 cents. When compared to top match grade ammunition at a price of $1.50 , a shooter who shoots just 1 box of ammunition a week can expect to save around $1050 the first year. A handgun shooter who shoots just 2 boxes of .45acp a week can expect to save around $1350. That’s enough for this course and the best reloading equipment money can buy, TWICE.

These charts represent what a basic and a complete setup of equipment would cost in a high market. Basic equipment is all you need to get started and load ammo. The column for extra equipment is for items that aren’t necessary but do make the process faster and/or make your ammo more accurate.
Courses only open to U.S. Citizens or Non-U.S. citizens who are: (1) lawful permanent residents (e.g., green card holders), (2) refugees, or (3) individuals who have been granted asylum.
Visa holders (Work, Travel, Ect.) are not eligible for any courses involving firearms.
