The nation has seen its largest rush of new gun owners in its history, all looking for a qualified instructor to teach them how to accurately shoot a firearm while being safe on the range. At the same time, starting a part-time firearms instruction business can earn you more than $100 per hour teaching the NYS CCW Course!
The time is now to become a certified instructor!
Becoming an NRA-certified instructor legally entitles you to teach the New York State Mandatory 18-hour concealed carry course.

This course requires two prerequisites AND THE ABILITY TO PRODUCE A TWENTY-SHOT 6″ GROUP FROM 15 YARDS:
- Successful completion of the student-level NRA Basic Pistol Course no longer than two years prior to the class date (this can be with RFI or another entity).
- Successful completion of the NRA BIT (Basic Instructor Training) Course no longer than two years prior to the class date (this can be with RFI or another entity).

*** Proof of completion (ex: course certificate) must be provided to RFI if you have taken the NRA Basic Pistol Course with an outside entity.
Prices for classes are as stated below
NRA Pistol Instructor Certification Course – $395
*$95 deposit to RFI paid online. Balance paid in person on the day of class, CASH only (NO ATM ON SITE).
Course fee includes all course materials & range fees.
Deposit is nonrefundable and may be transferred to another class with 14 days’ notice; within that time, you must attend or have someone take your spot.
**No seats are held without a deposit; be prepared to pay the deposit upon registration.
Any registration submitted without a deposit will, unfortunately, be disregarded.
Courses only open to U.S. Citizens or Non-U.S. citizens who are: (1) lawful permanent residents (e.g., green card holders), (2) refugees, or (3) individuals who have been granted asylum.
Visa holders (Work, Travel, Ect.) are not eligible for any courses involving firearms.
