NRA Basic Shotgun Shooting

The NRA Basic Shotgun Course is an essential course for all shooters looking to learn how to hit moving targets. It provides a solid foundation for new shooters as well as an opportunity for experienced shooters to learn new skills, and gain awareness of any “bad habits” that may have gone unnoticed for years.  We couple classic NRA shooting techniques with elements that  have perfected over the years. This Firearms Course is an 8 hour event packed with information and ample live fire practice.

The Basic Shotgun course will cover the games of Trap, Skeet, and Sporting Clays and teach all shooters how to excel at all three as well as learn practical hunting skills for the field

This course also works well for somebody who has not yet purchased a Shotgun and is looking for help deciding which is right for their needs, as well as get a feel for shooting, before investing in a firearm. Several shotguns will be available from our sponsors such as Zenith Firearms, Mossberg, and Escort for test firing completely free of charge. Shooters are also welcome to bring their own shotguns to this course and learn the specifics to their particular shotgun, provided they bring their own ammunition.

Targets will be thrown using professional equipment courtesy of Trius and Champion
